Karin Bouwer - Head Educator
My motto: It is a Beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together.
Hi there, I am Karin Bouwer, based in Brakpan, Gauteng.
When I took my first nail course in September 1998, I knew instantly that I wanted to make a career out of doing nails. Having previously run a successful modelling agency, modelling school and beauty salon, I soon realized that I wanted to share my passion for doing nails and art with other aspiring nail technicians.
Therefore, I undertook my first Educators course in 2010 and have been sharing my love for nails ever since with students who have pursued successful careers in nail technology and opened their own salons.
I feel extremely privileged to have been trained by three International Educators and have received my Educators certificates in 2010, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022 with various brands as an International trainer.
I have also competed in Professional Beauty nail competitions and received a 2nd place in Gel Sculpting in 2014 and a Second place in Acrylic Sculpting in 2017. I have completed over 20 different nail art courses in various mediums and am a qualified beauty therapist, make-up, and lash artist and qualified in all nail systems.
Joining the Crystal Clawz team has been a highlight in my career.
The Academy is open to anyone who would want to pursue a career in Nail Technology, looking to improve their skills, or up-skill in nail art.
As the Head of Education of our amazing Crystal Clawz educating team, we strive to assist our students not only with one-on-one training but also with ongoing support.
Being the Johannesburg Distributor for Crystal Clawz, our students can be rest assured that product will be immediately available to them.
