Annelize VAN TONDER

Hi there! I’m Annelize Van Tonder, based in Centurion, Gauteng.

Doing nails is not just a job for me – it’s a passion.

It’s always been my dream to have my own training centre.  I have been an Educator since 2018 and a Crystal Clawz Educator since March 2023, but I’ve been living my dream as a Qualified Nail Technician since 2004.

I believe there’s a significant need for skills training in this field, especially when it comes to delivering excellent, detailed work.

I’m eager to share my tricks of the trade and teach everyone who’s as passionate about this craft as I am.

My journey in this field started at Bio Sculpture in Centurion, where I worked as a Nail Technician from 2005 to 2008. Then, I took a leap of faith and started my own venture, ‘Nails by Annelize,’ in Centurion, where I served as the Nail Technician and Owner from 2008 to 2018.

In 2018, I embarked on a new adventure as a Nail Technician, Educator, and Owner of Bio Sculpture Training, Distribution, and Salon in Nelspruit. This role was a perfect blend of my passion for nail art and my love for teaching.

Over the years, I’ve earned several certifications to keep my skills sharp and up-to-date. I became a Qualified Bio Sculpture Nail Technician in 2004, a Qualified Young Nail Acrylic Therapist in 2016, and a Qualified Bio Sculpture Educator in 2019.

In November 2021, I started using Crystal Clawz products, and I was so impressed with the quality that I applied to become a Crystal Clawz Educator. The coloured gels have a solid pigment and apply like a dream. The rubber base is my absolute favourite – it’s a fantastic product that works well with any nail type. The range of nail art products is extensive and simply stunning. I’m also a big fan of the Velocity Speed Gel for nail extensions – it’s a game-changer and makes my work as a Nail Technician so much smoother.
